The Department of Science and Humanities acts as an essential constituent that complements the main subjects taught in the field of Engineering. The primary strength of the Department is its rich, talented and interdisciplinary nature. Capitalizing on this strength and expanding the visibility of the Department has emerged as a key goal. The Department serves as a unit for several academic as well as Engineering disciplines such as Mathematics, English, Physics and Chemistry.
The functions of the Department of Science and Humanities are to:
i) Provide support to the core subjects taught in the field of Engineering.
ii) Develop skills and enable students to use techniques, strategies, formats that are essential for successful communication.
iii) To support and contribute activities that is aimed at the general promotion and support of the Science and Humanities as appropriate.

Dr. N. Tamilarasan, B.Tech., M.Tech., Ph.D(ECE).,
Dr. N. Tamilarasan has joined in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in our Institution as Assistant Professor on 07.08.2013. He received his B.Tech Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Pondicherry University, Puducherry in 2004 and consequently his M.Tech Degree from Pondicherry University, Puducherry in 2006. He received his Doctorate in the field of Mobile Communication from Pondicherry University ,Puducherry in 2016.
He has published 9 papers in National and International conference proceedings and journals. His area of interest includes Wireless Communication and Mobile Networking. He has Life Membership of ISTE and ACEEE.
